Please Note: This is an informal report of the Annual General Meeting held on the 14th November 2013.

All pre-existing committee members were voting back in for the coming year 2013-2014. Their names and contact information can be found here.

Accounts were read and passed.

WMSA club membership fees for 2014 are to remain the same as for 2013 – see here for details. However, BMFA has not made public their fee for 2014. Therefore, Bob Flook requested members to delay paying their WMSA membership fee until the outcome of a BMFA meeting in early December is known.

Graham Tolhurst, who is standing down from managing the WMSA website, was thanked for all his effort in developing and maintaining the website for many years.

Andrew Fowles was presented with the Winner of Club Competitions 2012-2013 trophy. Full results are here.

After an intense period much of the development for this new WMSA is complete. In terms of content not much has changed, but as you can see the format has significantly changed. To create this new website the latest techniques and tools for managing and displaying the required content were adopted. However, creating pages of words for a website requires significant effort, but by using existing content the workload is reduced. Therefore, we should thank Graham Tolhurst for supplying files from the old website, which significantly reduced effort in creating this site.

To provide some history, only the last five years of open events and club competitions have been added to the Events menu option. Personally, I think this is enough, but if you feel all results from 2004 onwards should be here, let me know.

Over the next few weeks, more pictures and videos will be added to the site. If you want to make a contribution, please contact the Webmaster by clicking on the link below or talk to me up The Peak. Also if you have ideas and/or constructive comments, please contact me.
