Please note that BMFA insurance is compulsory for all members. If you already have arranged BMFA membership for 2020 (by joining another BMFA affiliated club or personal membership), then you do not need to join again, but must quote your BMFA membership number when applying for WMSA membership.

BMFA membership (including insurance) for the year 2020 is as follows:

  • Adults: £38
  • Juniors: £17 (must be under 18 on 1st January 2020)
  • Non-Flying membership: £17
  • Family membership: First Adult £38, Partner £25, Junior £13.

For any lapsed members who didn’t join the BMFA in 2019 they offer 13 months membership for the normal annual subscription after the 1st December, 2019. The WMSA also offer this facility so you can join both the WMSA and BMFA for 2020 from the 1st December 2019.

As you will know there is new annual charge of £9 payable to the CAA for Drone & Model Aircraft registration. The BMFA have offered to collect this fee and pay the CAA on your behalf providing you agree with the BMFA sharing your details with the CAA. You can also pay this fee to the WMSA and I will pay the BMFA on your behalf.

If you would like to enjoy the benefits of being a WMSA member, then you can join by either coming along to one of our club nights, meeting us at 'The Peak' or by post using a application form.

You can pay your fees to our Membership Secretary directly over the internet. To do this please send an email to the Membership Secretary and he will reply with the information required. For other methods of payment, please refer to the Membership Application Form.

If you have any questions about membership or for further details about becoming a member, please either telephone or email the Membership Secretary.
